LINSEY'S CARAVAN LITHIUM CONVERSION
We had Linseys Van in for a Full Lithium upgrade this week, we’d originally planned to put the battery management system internal but after a second look we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make use of this empty external hatch & it couldn’t have turned out better
We’ve relocated & upgraded his batteries to a cool 400ah of lithium power
For running the A/C and those heavy loads we’ve installed a 2600w Enerdrive inverter system with automatic transfer for true off-grid power
For the battery management system we’ve got a 50a Victron Smart solar regulator, 30a dc-dc charger, 30a 240v smart charger & a Bluetooth battery monitor, all these devices can be individually monitored and controlled via the Victron connect app for absolute efficiency & control
Powered by 800w of fixed shingled solar panels, which outperform you’re older solar technology, even in low light conditions he won’t be lacking power

Geoff had his Explorex back in yesterday for another off-Grid upgrade
This time we squeezed in another 300ah Enerdrive battery, bringing his total to 600ah!!!
As we had to fit 2x95mm2 cabling to each battery (200mm2) at equal size and equal length for perfect equalisation and ZERO volt drop we opted for a custom distribution board to hide away the excess
If you’ll remember back in November we fit Geoff’s van out with a victron battery management system and a little more than 1.2kw of solar,
that’s a beautiful 80amps solar charge and a whopping 110amps driving in the sun
(Now 140a on grid in sun)
Geoff has his eyes set on a new A/C unit and we look forward to hearing how he’s able to run it indefinitely
