it may seem complicated at first glance but your entire existing 12v system is simply run through a Victron 24v-12v reducer, no changes to existing system necessary other than the battery management and inverter system being 24V. The biggest benefit to 24V is its over all efficiency which comes down to current, for example: a domestic ibis 4 A/C run through a 12V inverter draws roughly 80AMPS, this means that to be Off Grid Capable we need our solar system to compensate for 80amps discharge, this means throughout the day the systems constantly discharging at 80amps as well as recharging at 80amps, and for large currents we need large cable, continuous heavy load causes the cable, inverter and chargers to gradually lose efficiency due to heat dissipation, @40 degrees 90% efficiency, @60 degrees 75% efficiency.
a 24v volt system of the other hand cuts the current in half, only using 40amps to run the A/C meaning the solar only needs to put in 40amps to compensate, the entire system runs a whole lot cooler and generally keeps at 90% efficiency throughout, a 300AH 24v lithium is equivalent to 600ah @12V meaning smaller more cost efficient batteries, currents are halved meaning smaller chargers, smaller cabling, we've found that due to efficiency loss a 300ah 24v system will out perform a 600ah 12v system. if you're serious about your Off-Grid Capabilities give one of our experts a call, we'd be happy to advise you

We had the pleasure of upgrading Dave’s Explorex Caravan this week,
With 99% battery capacity after running the A/C in low light conditions for 3 hours, we’re ready for handover.
We fit out this Karijini back in 2016 during manufacturing & she hasn’t missed a beat but was well overdue for an Off-Grid upgrade & because we love working with existing Explorex clients we threw in something special
We’ve replaced and updated the face panel with a touch screen monitor & touch switch panel to bring this Karrijini up to speed
We’ve removed and overhauled the 12v battery management system and converted this van into a 24v Off-Grid powerhouse
We’ve converted the battery system to a 24v lithium system for absolute efficiency off the grid
We were able to compfortably fit 1.2kw of shingles solar panels for optimum charging even low light conditions
